Kinetics hosts Emancipation 150 at the 2013 American Academy of Religion and The Society of Biblical Literature Meeting in Baltimore, Maryland. Rev. Dr. Allan Boesak, anti-apartheid activist and The Desmond Tutu Chair of Peace, Global Justice, and Reconciliation Studies at Butler University and Christian Theological Seminary, spoke about the public theological role of the Black church in critiquing the body politic of the nation. We honored Dr. Stacey Floyd-Thomas and Rev. Dr. Gayraud Wilmore with the Prophetic Voices Award. The Prophetic Voices Award celebrates scholarly and creative excellence and recognizes scholars whose work has transcended the classroom. http://
